Interesting how cold they had to get it to get that level of concentration (-20 C/-4 F). I assume that they had the beer analyzed and aren't just assuming that the ice removed was 100% water.

Oxidation is a very real concern with this method. My hope in the dark malts, high alcohol, and sub zero temperature will help to minimize the damage done by oxidation, only time will tell. I also filled the bottles up to the brim since they will be uncarbonated.

One thing I would be concerned about is oxidation. Did you do anything to mitigate the chances of this? It would be quite disappointing to open a bottle of cardboard in a year.

I have tried a similar method with a mead a year ago. The only difference was that I used a salad spinner as a centrifugal extruder of sorts. Just chop up the granita and spin it a few times, taste the I and give it a go till you get the extraction you want. The nice thing with this method is a lack of melting ice=higher extraction.
